Family Education

At Temple Israel, we want to make families feel at home!

We are overjoyed to hear the laughter of children and see them smile while engaged in learning, socializing, and praying. Friday night dinners, Shabbat and holiday programs, and community social events throughout the year highlight the vibrancy and enthusiasm of our families. Our Judy Gordon Early Learning Center, Charles and Ida Gilvarg Religious School, and award-winning United Synagogue Youth Group programs offer additional exciting, participatory programs for families with children of all ages. Intergenerational programming adds yet another much valued dimension to what is happening at TI, enriching our entire community.

Youth Services, including Tot Shabbat, for families with children of preschool age through 1st grade, and Jr Congregation (2nd-6th grade) are held once or twice a month on Saturdays, 10:30-noon, during the school year. Come experience songs, activities, age-appropriate services, snacks, & more. Family Friday night dinners occur about once a month, and we celebrate holidays together throughout the year. Young Families are also invited to participate in activities planned by the Judy Gordon Early Learning Center.

All are welcome to participate in any of these programs! For more information, contact the temple office at 508-650-3521
