"I Could Have Talked All Night"

(To the tune of 'I Could Have Danced All Night')
by Rabbi Daniel H. Liben, 2002

I could have talked all night, about our people's flight
From ancient Egypt land;
How God did hear our plea, and parted the Red Sea
And led us on dry sand…

I didn't know …It could be so…Exciting,
To feel a part… of history;

I only know its grand
To feel God's outstretched hand
And know the story speaks to me!

I could have dined all night, on matzah balls so light
And still have asked for more;
I ate the fish with chrain, a meal made with no grain
Wine glasses numb'ring four…

The boiled eggs…That floated in salt water,
Reminded me of the Red Sea;

I only know its grand
To feel God's outstretched hand
And know the story speaks to me!
