The Adopt-A-Family Committee of Temple Israel, Natick, MA. is a group of volunteers who are dedicated to help “victims of terror” in Israel. Adopt-A-Family fundraises through many venues to support families who have lost dear ones, been injured, or had their homes destroyed due to terrorist attacks, bus bombings, and qassam missile attacks. All money raised goes to help families.
Adopt-A-Family has volunteers who “adopt” a family and call them regularly to build a relationship with them. Members of Adopt-A-Family visit families when they go to Israel. We develop close bonds with our families and provide emotional support as well as financial assistance.
Some of the things we have done include paying tuition to educate men and women who have lost their spouses and need to support their families. We have assisted families with medical, dental, and physical therapy expenses not covered by Israeli insurance or other programs. Additionally, Adopt-A-Family has purchased washing machines, refrigerators, and furniture for families whose homes were hit by qassam missiles.
